Write a letter to Santa this Christmas

What’s on your wishlist? Help make the magic of Christmas come alive with a gift and reply from Santa at your local Post Office. There’s no need to worry about stamps or a return address!

How does Santa get my letter?

Santa loves reading everybody’s letters, wishlists and drawings at Christmas. Here are a few tips about how to write your Santa letter, where to send it and how to post it.

How to write your letter

You can write your letter to Santa however you’d like. Remember to add some seasonal sparkle! But if you’re feeling a bit stuck, here are some tips.

  • You can write a letter, wishlist or drawing. Every message is special to Santa.

  • Use your favourite pens, pencils, textas, paper or stickers.

  • Not sure what to say? Take a look at our sample letter (PDF 1.7MB)

Don’t worry about a return address

Usually, it’s important to write your name and return address on the back of the envelope. But this year, there’s no need to worry about it. Plus, you don’t need a stamp! That’s because one of the Australia Post team will hand you Santa’s reply on the spot.

Santa Mail dates

Santa’s reply used to take a couple of weeks to reach you. But this year, you don’t need to wait! You’ll receive his letter on the spot at Australia Post.

Hand deliver your letter to Australia Post - Thornleigh Marketplace before Tuesday 24 December 2024 to pick up Santa’s letter and gift, while stocks last.
